remember new england winters
and i’m still in the same coat
but then i was new to snow and new to you
tounge, form transformed
found friends on beacon
there was symphony, movies, coffee
finding newness in grass
ego let go to geometry
fires in microwaves
crying when aeroplanes put away ashes
to sashays across ice on commons
are when i think you loved me most
but now we sleep in winters coats
